Can't Make MDE File

M

Mike

I have a project that I would like to make an MDE file. However, when I go
to do it, the 'Make MDE File' choice is grayed-out. I did a compile of the
database already, and it compiled OK. This is not a split database.
Everything is under one roof. I am using Access 2K mode in Access XP. Can
anybody help?

Thanks!
Mike

I went in and changed the Default File Format from Access 2000 to Access
2002 and saved the file. However, the "Make MDE File" selection is still not
available. Is there a step I missed?

Thanks!
Mike

Will those with Access 2000 still
Unfortunately, no.

I would find a machine with Access 2000 installed and create the MDE from there.
Then distribute a copy of that MDE file.

Or install A2000 on your machine.
