Can't make task, need confirmation if my Entourage is corrupted

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Hi,

I stopped using Entourage a while ago but I'm really interesting in making my iPad sing, so I want to start using it again.

A picture is worth a thousand words, so here's what I see. When I make a task there is no button to save the task. I can't remember this being normal and the help section here stops short of "saving" the task. Can someone confirm that my Entourage is corrupt or tell me what I'm doing wrong? I don't know where in my closet the original disk is, so it will be a big job to reinstall.

When I make a task
there is no button to save the task.

Select Customize Toolbar by right-clicking on the Toolbar or select View >
Customize Toolbar and add the Save button.

Command-S is a system wide save command.
