Can't merge labels with graphics

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I'm trying to create business cards with a graphic on each. When I try to merge to a new document, the merge fails. If you take out the graphic, everything works fine. Am using OS 10.5.4.

Any one else had this problem? If so, did you find a fix?

Sorry: That's a limitation of Data Merge: No pictures.

The mechanism will not transfer pictures.

I am not quite sure what you are attempting to do: if you give me more
detail, I may be able to suggest a work-around.

If I understand you correctly - I don't see where "merge" comes in to play
at all - the following link may be useful. It's PC oriented but the
principles are the same, so you shouldn't have any trouble adapting the
method:

You can also use the Word's Project Gallery business card templates &
replace the graphic on the Master Page with one of your own, providing it is
properly sized & prepared. Quite frankly, there are a number of other
software programs which are more directly suited to the task and aren't
necessarily expensive. They also offer other features more in line with
document design, such as greeting cards, multi-fold documents etc. Discus &
Print Explosion Deluxe are just a couple that come to mind.

OK, I see the confusion.

What I should have said, is I'm trying to create name tags using a business card template. The Mail Merge function allows me to change the name on each card. When I try to do that with a graphic Word locks up.

From previous post, this could be a limitation of Word 2008. Unfortunately it works fine on a PC version of Word.
