Hi;
I have a database that's been split into a front-end and
back-end. Now I am just trying to modify a property in
the database (a description field) from required to non
required. The description is not part of any key.
When I select the table and go into design view I get the
message:
"Table is a linked table with some properties that can't
be modified" "Do you want to open it anyway?"
I then open the table and set the required field for
description to "no", but the modification always gets
changed back to "yes".
So, then I decided to go into the relationship view and
just delete the relationship for that one table, but I
get the message:
"You can't delete a relationship inherited from a linked
database"
What's happening and how can I just turn off the required
property of the description field? Again, the
description field is not part of any key or relationship.
Thanks,
Dan
