On WinXP when I attempt to import a Win2000 Verisign supplied certificate
using pvkimprt I get:
"Error: 000004c0, The format of the specified password is invalid."
even though my password is correct.
A bit of web searching seems to indicate that there is an error in pvkimprt
that Microsoft has chosen not to fix that causes this problem and that the
only solution is to pony up another $100 to Verisign to reissue the
certificate.
A purported solution involving a web supplied executable to create an
intermediate PEM file created a bogus certificate for me.
Anyone know a solution to this or do I just pay the $100 and if I do, does
this fix the problem?
Thanks.
