Can't move "Flag Status" column

I am running Outlook 2003 SP1 on Windows XP Pro SP1. I want to move the
"Flag Status" column to a more obvious location. From Customize Current
View => Fields it looks like it is possible to move it. I go through the
motions, but it does nothing. As a test, I used the same procedure to move
a different column and it worked fine. What is peculiar about Flag Status
that it always wants to remain in the rightmost column?

Try this instead. Remove the column and then re-add it where you wish it to
appear.

The quick flag column can't be moved - disable quick flags (in customize
view) to restore the old style flag column, which can be moved.
