Can't open "A" drive

Was trying to retrieve a document from floppy disk, and
received the following message: "A" drive not
accessible. Disk media not recognized. It may not be
formatted.

Never had this problem before. Help.

Don't ever try to open a Word document directly from a floppy. You may
already have corrupted it just by trying. Always copy to the HD first, then
open from there.
