Hi,
I jsut upgradee to Word 2003 from Word 2000 and some files saved in the
older version won't open in the newer without this error:
Word experienced an error trying to open the file.
Try these suggestions.
* Check the file permissions for the document or drive.
* Make sure there is sufficient free memory and disk space.
* Open the file with the Text Recovery converter.
I can open them in Word 2000 again or in 2003 if I save them as RTF in 2000
first. ( and I canNOT open them via 'Open and Repair' )
any thoughts?

thanks,
