Can't open any Excel files

I started an install of Service Pack 3 on my lap top at a
client's facility. It adked me to insert CD 1 of Office
2000 Professional. The CD is at home and I cannot access
the internet at home -- now I can't open any Excel files
because a message comes up saying I need to insert CD 1.
HELP!!!! I just made a trip across town to work at my
client's and now cannot do anything I need to. Do I need
to waste 2 hours of my day driving, not to mention gas
money, to be able to use my lap top again?????

There is something seriously wrong about trying to
download a service pack that renders your Excel program
unusable!!!!

RTFM. The Office XP SP3 download page clearly states:

"When installing SP3, you may be prompted to insert one or more of your
original Office XP CD-ROMs. If you do not have access to your original
Office XP CD-ROM you can install Office XP SP3 Full File Version (58925
KB). Follow the instructions on the screen to complete installation.
Note: Some users will still be prompted for the original CD when using
the Office XP SP3 Full File Version, depending on your installation of
Office XP. For more information, please see the Microsoft Knowledge Base
article, (828451) OFFXP: Why Service Packs, Updates, and Security
Patches May Require the Office XP CD-ROM."

Office XP SP3 has been available since March 30, 2004, so your client
should be outraged that you are using their time and facilities to
update your computer. If I were your client, I wouldn't be for much longer.
