Can't open any file in Office 2003

Hi,
My system operating system is Windows XP (Home edition). I installed
Microsoft Office 2003 on it just recently. The problem now is that all
Office-related files are no longer availble. Even if I create a new file in
Office 2003, strangly enough, it will not let me open it again and it says:
"The file is not avilable". Basically, I cannot open any file in Microsoft
Office 2003.
Have you experienced such a problem before?
