Hi Paganini,
If you have Norton Antivirus or Security suite installed open the controls for that and in the Miscellaneous tab turn off the
'Office PlugIn' choice then restart the Office apps and use
Office Button(file)=>Open to see if your files are now accessible.

Yesterday I downloaded the technical refresh. Now, I can't open any files
(word, excel, powerpoint and so on..)anymore.
