Do you have set (NTFS) permissions on that directory to make the folder
private?
Is Outlook closed (and the outlook.exe process not running) when you try
to
change attributes?

it is on the other hard disk on my pc. Any other ideas?

Copy it to your harddisk first. A CD-ROM is a read only medium by
definition.

properties are read only, when i uncheck and apply get error message =
error
occurred applying attributes to the file.... access denied.
What am I doing wrong, and how can I access this file please? Thanks
