can't open clipart in office 2004

We have recently upgraded our OS 9 machines to OS 10.3.9. We have
installed office 10 on them but clipart wouldn't open so we have tried
office 11 (2004)and the problem is still occuring. The problem only
seems to be on machines that have been updated for OS9 to OS10. If the
machine came with OS10 preinstalled then the clipart seems to work ok.
When we click to add clipart the icon for the clipart gallery appears
in the doc bar as if to say it's
opening and then disappears again. I have updated the machine with all
available updates, and updated office with available updates.

Hi David,

Can you please let me know

1. Was Office installed on the machines before they were
upgraded?

2. Were the machines upgraded rather than doing a wipe and then
install to go from OS9 to OS10?

I need this info to repro your issue.

Thanks,

Priyanka

Sorry.
The machines were wiped and then installed as OS 10.3 and then upgraded
to 10.3.9 via the online update. then office was installed.

I have just installed office on two more machines and these two will
allow clipart. The machine have both been wiped and OS 10.3 installed
just like the other machines. the only difference being that these
machines haven't got macadminstrtor install on them. I have removed
macadministrator from one of the machines that is haveing problems
loading clipart and still no change. I can only think that their is
something installed or activated on the machines that is not allowing
the clipart gallery to open.

Did you repair disk permissions after installing Office? If not run that,
then log out/in & see if that makes a difference.

Another thing to check is in Apple|System Preferences|Accounts - Login Items
to see if there is anything there that shouldn't be or is identified in the
Kind column as 'unknown'.

There could also be a permissions problem with the browser (Safari?) if the
users are not set up with Administrator logins.

Please Post back if the solution from CyberTaz does not solve this problem
