I have been having a strange problem. When I doubleclick on a doc or xls
file in windows explorer, the application (word or excel as appropriate)
starts but then displays a message that it can't find the file I just clicked
on.
"Windows cannot find file 'c:\test.doc.' Make sure you typed the name
correctly and try again"
Once the office application is open, then the file can be opened without
error.
Environment is Vista Ultimate (without aero) Office 2007. AVG antivirus
shows no virus, ad-aware and spybot show no spyware.
