Can't open email attachments

In the past few days I have had to reinstall my OS (Vista) and everything
else after a hard drive problem. I now find that when I try to open an
attachment in Outlook 2007 (html file or Word file so nothing that should be
blocked), I get the message: "You don't have appropriate permission to
perform this operation."

I can't say for certain if it was like this before SP1 was installed as I've
only had it back up and running for a couple of days and this is the first
time that I tried to open an attachment.

The message (from before my recent reinstall) is stored in a .pst file on
another drive so was not affected but I have tried forwarding a new message
from my Gmail store and it is the same with the new message too.

Thanks for that Roady. I think it does sort of apply although not in the
sense mentioned there. The folder appears to be absent. I looked in the
registry and there is no key for that folder. I downloaded the Outlook Tools
utility and that reported:

"Sorry, I could not determine your path to the SecureTempFolder"

If Outlook creates the folder upon installation then I guess it is a
reinstall job?

Update: Thanks again Roady, you identified the problem straight off. I've
just manually created a file and entered its location into the registry and
it's now working.
