can't open file

When I try to open a microsoft access 2002 file I get an
error message saying I do not have the necessary
permission to use the file. I am the administrator as
well as the only person joined to the workgroup both now
and when I first created the file.

Is there any way to retrieve the data?

What User name are you logged on as? You might also check to make sure that
your problem isn't a windows security issue.
