Can't open files

I installed my existing and well used Microsoft Office X on a new
MacBookPro. Now, opening files from emails or on my desktop no longer
is automatic. These include files I have had, perhaps created, or
those sent to me. On my old computer, same software, they opened like
a breeze.

How did you install it? Was Office test drive installed? How did you remove
it? I suspect you did not remove the test drive properly and this is the
reason for the unexpected quits you reported in another thread. Try removing
Office with the remove Office tool on you Office X CD. Then reinstall from
the CD and then download and install the updates. Then repair permissions
and try again.
