Can't open files

I had a computer meltdown, but I was able to burn all my files onto c-ds
before I lost it completely. IU reformatted my harddrive and copied my files
into the new "documents" folder. I reinstalled office 2003. I can open all my
Word files but Publisher will not open any files. I checked the properties of
all my files and they seem to be there (shows how many kbs). I just get an
error message "Publisher can not open file". Any ideas??

In addition to Mary's suggestions, check the Publisher files' properties to
see if they are set to "read-only." This sometimes happens when files are
burned to optical media, then copied back to a hard-drive. If that's the
case, uncheck the "read-only" box, apply the change, and see if that helps.
