Hello everyone,
My office uses MS Office 2003 [SP1] on Windows XP [SP2] platform.
I've got 4 or 5 users that have several (about 5 or 6) Functional Mailboxes
listed in their Folder List.
When they click on a folders in one of these Mailboxes and run a "Find",
they'd get an error message stating: "Can't open item", when they try to open
up one of the Find results.
If they try to open the same file or email in the regular Inbox view
(without using the Find option), it opens up just fine.
In an effort to resolve this issue, I have tried deleting and re-creating
each user's Outlook Profile. That worked for about a week or so, but then it
went back to not being able to open the Find results.
I then tried deleting the Extend.dat file and renaming the Outcmd.dat
file, but that didn't work. I've even tried running the Detect & Repair, but
nothing doing.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what's going on with the "Find" results and
why they can't open them?
Thanks,
Ace.
