Can't open large .doc files

I have a user that can't open word documents that are over about 3 MB in
size. Smaller word docs open with no problem, but files over this limit
won't open even if they have been created on the problem computer. These
larger files open on other computers with no problems. There must be a
setting somewhere limiting file size. This is a relatively new (3
months or so) Dell 4600 with 256 MB of ram, and Word 2003...
Any suggestions would be welcome.

It had this once and it turned out that when the document left my computer -
someone else turned on for CHANGES TO BE TRACKED. so this whole macro
nightmare would happen everytime I went to open or close - taking FOREVER!!!
You might have someone see if that is the culprit and reprovide the file to
the problem computer to see if there is an issue.

simularly Macro security has generated some headaches in the past - you
might check to see what her macro security is set to - and make it low.

Other than that - I'm not sure.... perhaps it is more of WHAT the document
contains - such as graphics or tables or graphs... that would shine some
light on possible issues......
