Can't open large files

My MS Word '02 wouldn't open large files (like over 15 pages or so). I dont
think my files have problem because it opens fine on other computers and my
computer isn't slow so and dont know what the problem is.
Please help because I worked with large files like that everyday and it's
really a pain to use WordPad instead of MS Word.

Fifteen pages is a small file for Word, try 1500 pages for medium-large.

That said, if this is a recent problem and you are using Windows XP, then
see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918165 "Problems in Windows
Explorer or the Windows shell after you install security update
MS06-015".

If you aren't comfortable with editing the Windows registry
yourself, then go to
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and scroll
down to Item No. 383 "Hewlett-Packard's Share-to-Web software -
Fix". Download and run the script to automatically modify your
registry as described in KB918165. You may need to temporarily
disable your antivirus program in order to run the script.

If it is not a recent problem (within the last week or so) or you are not
using Windows XP, then we need to do some more detective work. You could
start here: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProbsOpeningWord.htm.

I uninstalled Office 2002 and Installed the new 2003 one and so far it worked
fine. So I guess I didn't fix my problem but I did ;)
Thanks anyway for helping out :)

What you did is probably simpler and 2003 is an improvement.
