Can't open Mac Powerpoint 2004 file in Windows PPT 2003

I created a ppt file in Windows and then revised/edited it on my Mac.
Now when I try and open it on my Windows machine, it gives me an error:

" Powerpoint can't read E:\filename" wher filename is the path to the
file I want to edit.

PowerPoint 2003 out of the box is broken. Fortunately, it can be fixed
(at least this problem can be). You just need to install Service Pack 1
(SP1). Go to the Help menu and choose Check for Updates. Follow the
instructions to install SP1, and your 2003 PPT will be able to read Mac
files again.
