Can't open Mac Powerpoint 98 files using Mac Powerpoint 2004

Has Microsoft come up with a fix for opening Mac Powerpoint 98 files
using Mac Powerpoint 2004? If not, is there a fix or update on the
way?

Hi RonRick,

Mac PowerPoint version 4 and earlier files won't open in PowerPoint
2004, but the file format from 98 onward is the same. If the
presentations were saved in 98 format they should just open in 2004.

Did you try opening them using File>Open in PowerPoint? It might be
that you need to set file associations so that OSX knows that PowerPoint
is the application to use when you double-click the PowerPoint files.
