Can't open mail attachment

Ernie M

When I installed Microsoft Office XP I was able to browse
my email an open my attachments without having to save
the file by clicking Open instead of save.

Now when I try to open file I get a "C:\Documents and
Settings\Ernie Montaner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.IE5\K56NKTIN\Price_List.xls" could not be
found. check the spelling of the file name, and verify
that the location id correct.

I have tried to re-install Office completly, same results.

Can You Help.

Hello Ernie,

Thank you for posting!

From the post, I see that you are encountering issues opening Outlook
attachments.

Can you help collect the exact error message word for word? Thanks!

From the error description, it seems the issue is related to the Internet
Explorer cache (Temporary files) At this time, you may try the methods
below:

1. If you are using Windows 2000 or WIndows XP, create a new user account
and log on as the new account to see if the problem persists.

2. Delete Temporary Internet Files.

a. Close all Internet Explorer sessions.
b. Right click the INtenret Explorer icon on the Desktop and click
Properties.
c. In the Temporary Internet Files sesions, click Delete files to delete
all temp files.

3. If there is any anti-virus program or filewall program, temporarily
uninstall them to see what happens.

You can try the steps above to see if they resolve the issue. Thank you!

Regards,
Bennie Chen
