Can't open or save HTML attachments

Zach

Hi
I have a user that when she receives an email with a generated HTML file,
she can't open or save the file. She can open or save any other type of file
attachment. She can open up other HTML files on her computer, and other HTML
files that are emailed to her, just not this generated HTML file. This just
started happening in the last couple of weeks. Before that, she was able to
open and save those same generated HTML files.

If the generated HTML file is sent to me, I can open or save it, no problems.

The user's computer is Windows XP SP3, Office 2007, on a domain using
Exchange server. I have added the sender's email address to the safe
sender's list. The user has Owner permissions on the folders. Temp files
have been deleted and the computer has been restarted.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

TIA
Zach

Hi Roady
Your link was right on for the error message that the user was receiving.
They selected everything and then deleted everything out of the entire
Temporary Internet Files folder. Still isn't working.

It doesn't matter how they try to save it, it gives that error message
described in your link.

Any other suggestions?

Then I suspect they're not emptying the folder correctly. Emptying Temporary
Internet Files (using Internet Explorer's Options) won't empty the Outlook
Secure Temp folder, even though it's a subfolder of TIF.

The TIF folder was emptied using My Computer, not IE.

Please confirm that you tried Roady's custom tools that are linked from
his website on deleting secure temp folder. Temporary Internet Files
folder can appear to be empty yet not be truly empty. Microsoft is using
shell extensions to manipulate its appearance. You must use special
tools or to hunt down its location in Registry.
