Can't open or save to web folders (Sharepoint) in word

For some reason I can't open or save to web folders (Sharepoint) in word and
powerpoint. When I doubleclick the webfolders, the "open"- or the "save as"-
dialogbox baffles and nothing happens. It works fine in Excel and Access. Any
solution to this?

I've also got this problem on some of my workstations. I can access my
Sharepoint site for everything but word and powerpoint.

My system:
Dell workstations with windows xp pro and office pro 2007
2008 server (DC, Exchange, File)
2003 server (Member, SQL, Sharepoint)

I've tried to reinstall, compare settings, compare registry, remove all then
reinstall, remove antivirus and reinstall, diagnostics, checking extensions,
checking access, checking hardwre. Yes I've tried about everything with no
luck.

It doesn't help that no error is generated. It just one of those things that
just works, but in this case it don't.

Any help would be highly appreciated.
