I installed Outlook 2003 on a new computer, and tried to transfer, then open, the old Outlook.pst file on my new computer, so I could read my old mail and have my old contacts, after installing it on my new computer.
WhenoI tried to open Outlook 2003, I got this message. "Unable to open your default email folders. The file C:\......\Outlook.pst is not a personal folders file.
So, I tried to install and repair Outlook 2003 using the original disk. Didn't work, got the same message
Then I tried uninstalling and reinstalling from the original disk. Got the same message
Then I tried deleting the Outlook.pst file and reinstalling. Same message
What to do?
