I am using Outlook 2003 with Windows XP. I have several employees that
are unable to open assigned tasks and have different problems. This
does not happen with all of the employees, however.
One computer using Outlook 2000 and Windows XP, when they try to open,
accept, decline or delete the task, they get the following message:
"Can't open this item. Outlook cannot do this action on this type of
attachment."
Another computer using Outlook 2003 and Windows XP is prompted whether
to send a read receipt. Once a choice is made, nothing else happens.
There is no response if you double click it, right click and select
open, or delete. There are no options to accept or decline the task.
I have yet another computer that can receive my tasks, accept them,
etc. It uses Outlook 2000 and Windows XP. I find no consistency and
don't know how to begin to address this. Is there a patch that has not
been installed that addresses these problems or is there something else
I can do?
Please help!
