Can't open passworded protected Mac Office 2011's Word .docx in Office2000 SP3 with converter packs?

Hello.

Is old Office 2000 SP3 unable to open password protected Mac Office
2011's Word .docx in old, updated Windows XP Pro. SP3? If I remove its
password when saving in Office Mac 2011 and opening it, then it is fine.
Does the converter packs not recognize password protection or something?
Opening is detected as Word 2007 format.
