Hi
I'm having trouble opening a pptm extension PP presentation.
Keep getting, "Start time: 2008-12-20 10:14:08 +1000
Converting file: /Users/carolegrimmett/Desktop/Prehospital Haemorrhage Control.pptm
An error occurred while converting your file. To fix the problem, go online and download the converter again. If you need support, refer to error identification number -2147483640
Conversion failed
End time: 2008-12-20 10:14:16 +1000"

I have downloaded Open XML converter & checked for updates.
Any ideas?

It's hard to say for sure, but my guess would be that the problem is due to
the macros in the file. Although PPT 2004 supports VBA, Office 2007 employs
a later version of the language than what is available on the Mac. I can't
provide the details but that might explain why the conversion can't be made.

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will come along, so it might also be
helpful to know how you're attempting to open the file - dbl-clicking the
icon or using File> Open from within PPT - and exactly what are the results
of each method. Include any additional details you may have about the
content of the file.

Hi,

If you start XML converter all by itself, can it covert the file?

Hi
To answer all the Q's so far I have tried to open by dble clicking, dragging to dock & opening from within powerpoint. I have also tried opening XML convertor itself, the error message is from that attempt. The error message from all other attempts is contained within that message
