can't open table in XP

can someone explain why i can't open a table in XP that opens fine in 2k.
can't open in view or design mode.
i can open a bound form and i can open the entire table with a query.
the table only has 150 fields and none of them are larger than 50
characters.
tried make a copy of the structure with no records and still could not open.

using the same MDB the table would open fine using access 2k, but not XP.

i was able to import the table into a SQL database then export it back to
the MDB and it now opens just fine.

there error message was something like some property is too large....

just like to know what caused this.

Sounds like corruption and or compatibility issue. A compact and repair
should have fixed it.
