Can't open the mail session

I have Office XP with Windows 2000 server.

I have a db that has a email button (uses the SendObject
function) that opens a new message and fills in some info
in the body of the message. For one user, every time he
clicks the button, Access gives out an error say "Can't
open the mail session".

If the user previews a report and then tries to File |
Send To | Mail as Attachment (the only option available),
he gets the same error.

If the user tries to send to mail as attachment in Word,
it works fine.

I have logged in as this user at several windows 2000
computers and get the same error (local user profile).

I've checked his user permissions in the Active Directory
and there doesn't seem to be anything missing.

What else to check?
