Can't open this item. Unable to open the free/busy information.

We're in the process of upgrading from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003. Users with Outlook 2000 are unable to open calendar appointments of Outlook 2003 users. They receive an error message "Can't open this item. Unable to open the free/busy information". Reviewer access has been granted to the default user. Any suggestions?
