Can't open Winword || Argh || Desperate

all awful day and night i get a message upon attempting to open ANY wor
document: MS Word has encountered a problem and needs to close (et
etc). I send error reports. Nothing. I look at the daata of tha
error report and learn nothing - i have uninstalled and reinstalled al
of office (bought and owned completely above board) no results.

keep thinking in some way it must be connected to my having trie
downloading macafee virus protector for one month? i got rid of it, a
none of my much- needed word docs stopped opening.

only nowi have no virus protector AND i have no word, so ... sheesh.
