Hi, I guess it's the little background Windows updates that foiled me. I use
Word 2.0 as we built a C program that will convert our mainframe documents to
Word books. I then combine my new piece into an existing book in Word 2003.
But I was getting an error saying I'm not allowed to open the file. So I
uninstalled Office 2003 and reinstalled it, and now I can open the files. The
only problem is that now Outlook is freezing up on me and I am unable to open
my e-mail.
When I look at my version of Windows XP it says I am at SP2.
Any suggestions of a better way to still access my Word 2.0 files? Also I
did find out that copy and paste does work, but I lose all my styles, so that
becomes laborious reapplying the styles.
thanks for being here! -Natelle
