Can't open Word 2000 on ME

I get an error message telling me that I have insufficient
memory. Computer crashes.

Everything checks out ok - plenty of memory. I have
reinstalled Word. Done everything I can think of. All
other applications run fine. Just Word having problems.

Any ideas?
