I can't open word attachments when the email is received in entourage.
If I forward them to my yahoo account I can open then (although compatibility mode always comes on).
Help please ?!

They say it might not be a valid word document.
Seems to be related to saving them as .doc rather than .doc.dot if I save them from other mail applications ?

Are you sure you have received the entire document before trying to save and
open it?

Many users have their accounts set to receive partial messages when the
messages are large, and messages with attachments typically are. Check your
settings in Account Settings > Options for that account.

If that is the case, when Entourage partially receives a message it offers
you a link on the message header to receive the entire document. (There is a
command on the Message menu that does the same thing.) Be sure to receive
the entire document BEFORE trying to open an attachment.
