Can't open Word Documents

Please help, I have been working on my thesis and have saved many drafts in
my word document. Today when I go to my laptop to open my documents, i can
not open anything in word. this is the message i get.

First the gray box pops up and says preparing to install.......install what
when i have always had word and I can see the documents but just not open it.

Next, the second grey box pops up and says please waite while windows
configures microsoft office enterprise 2007....i've always had word 2007

Lastly, the error message pops up....1935 error occcured during the
installation of assembly component...

what can i do to get past this error. I"ve tried everything, shutting down,
allowing the computer to do updates....

Run as Administrator and launch Office Setup (Control Panel, Program and
Features) and chose REPAIR. You must do this logged in as the Administrator
and not as a user with Admin permissions.

Hi Terry, thanks for the information. I was able to find my way to steps 2,
however, I'm not sure how to run as adminstrator. can you help, it's asking
me for a object name???? I think I'm in the right place.

You need to log off your computer and then log back in using the
Administrator login. Then go through the Control Panel to run Office setup.
