Hi all,
I've been struggling with this all day. I haven't been able to copy and paste a chart into powerpoint. However, I think I have worked out why so I thought I would share. As soon as the chart is pasted into ppt (via CMD-c then CMD-v) the spreadsheet closes and I can't open it again until I quit excel. But sometimes it doesn't paste at all and the worksheet opens and closes repeatedly on its own. So I checked for updates and fixed all that and tried again. Now I get an error message when I CMD-v saying do you want to open this spreadsheet as it's already open. So I thought ah ha I think it is automatically pasting it as a linked object or something, instead I did paste special and pasted it as a picture, which is what I wanted anyway as I do all my formatting i excel before I bring it over.
Hope that helps
Anna
