Can't paste - word 2007 enable macro

R

Rufus

I recently installed Office 2007, and had a problem accessing online help. I
uninstalled and reinstalled. Next I uninstalled MathType 6 and installed
Mathtype 6 (not sure if this has anything to do with problem, but I thought
i'd mention it). This was done several days ago.
I'm pretty certain that I had been copying and pasting with no problem
through yesterday. Then today I did a copy and, when I tried to paste, got an
error that macros were not enabled. I followed the Help button, but didn't
really understand what I was reading. Likewise, read through and earlier post
here, without to omuch comprehension. (I did set the Developer tab as active
and looked at the list of macros, but didn't what to do next.) Suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hey

Just had the exact same problem. I'm guessing you missed the same thing I missed. Try uninstalling mathtype 6 and reinstalling it. As the program finishes installing, one of the windows that pops up is entitled "Installation Complete" and has you click a box that says "I understand. This window describes what you need to do the first time you open Word 2007 after installing mathtype. The design science macros must be enabled. Just do what the window tells you to do.

Hope this helps
