Can't preview DocuShare documents and pdf's in Outlook

I have Outlook 2007. I don't have any trouble at all with the previewer in
Outlook e-mail. I can open attached documents, pdfs and everything else.
Everything seems to be working fine there.

However, I have a DocuShare add-in that allows me to access DocuShare
folders from Outlook. In the DocuShare folders I have a big problem. When I
open a file in the DocuShare folder, the automatic preview pane to the right
of the subfile list previews the first subfile on the list only, and then
only if it has a "pdf" extension. When I click on all other subfiles in the
folder list, no matter what their file extension is, I get the message "This
file cannot be previewed. Try opening the file in the program in which is
was created." But if I double click on the file (which has a file name and a
"pdf" extension) in order to try and open it, I get the message, "Windows
cannot open this file" and then I see that the file name has been changed to
letters and a number, and the extension has been changed to "tmp." I have
not the slightest idea how the file name and extension gets changed when I
double click on the file.

To further exacerbate the problem, when the first subfile in a folder is a
"doc" extension, I receive the message "This file cannot be previewed because
the file type is not supported by the following previewer: Microsoft Office
Word previewer." What gives with that? When I double click on the file, it
eventually opens in Word, but only after a delay.

Can anyone help? I'll give you a big kiss right on the cheek if you have
any suggestions that work. Thanks in advance.
