Hi again,

Well I still have the same problem and it is only occuring with this
one computer. I can't preview a form because I get this error :

"The form template is not valid.InfoPath cannot open the selected form.
There was an error while loading the XML Schema for the form."

I have uninstalled Infopath and reinstalled with no help. I have
installed Office 2k3 with Infopath on other computers using the same
administrative install location. I can't figure out why INFOPATH won't
let me preview ANY forms on this computer........

Can anyone please help me solve this problem....and no to the best of
my knowlege I have not changed the datasource or messed with the
schema.

Thanks in advance for any help that I receive regarding this issue.

Has the form been published?

Is it on a shared drive?

If so does it have the same UNC path for all computers?
e.g.
//FileServer/x/mydata/xxx.xsn

I have exactly the same problem. I have found two computers in our company’s
network where Infopath refuses to show any forms in the fill mode. I have
even tried creating an empty form in the design mode and previewing it but I
still get the same error message. I have tried reinstalling Infopath, logging
on with different users and comparing registry keys between to a working
computer. So far I have found nothing. If there is no alternative solution,
the next phase will be formatting C-drive and reinstalling windows XP.

I formatted and reinstalled a computer but I still got the same error. The
only option I could figure out was that some other program is causing the
error. So I took a computer where infopath was working and started installing
software from the other computer until the error occured. This way I finally
found the interfering software. After tracking the actual changes of
installing the software I found out that it does the following changes in the
registry.

in the sections:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID
all paths that were previously:
"C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\urlmon.dll"
were changed to:
"C:\\Program Files\\INTERFERING_PROGRAM\\urlmon.dll"

After I manually corrected the paths so that they point back to system32
folder Infopath started working again. (Although now the other software isn't
working anymore)

Hope this helps someone else...
