Can't print correctly - out of print area?

Hi

I just upgraded to Office 2004 from Office:X and all of a sudden when I
try to print my documents I get a message saying that my footer is
outside the printable area.

I did not have this problem on Office:X nor on Office 97 for Windows.

Its not a printer issue as far as I can tell since my printer actually
can print the area - I mean it has before. Now I end up having my
footer further up on the page than I want.

This is an extremely frustrating problem and so far at least half my
day has been spent tryin to resolve it to avail.

I cry out in the wordprocessor wilderness for a helping hand.

Which paper do you have specified in page setup?
You might have set Letter and actually use A4 this could explain the
trouble.

Hi

Thanks for the response. It's set to A4

However I read that my printer has a limit of 0.42 cm from the edge of
the document for printing. Word97 cannot really see this and therefore
does not give a warning. Thats why I didnt have it before. In other
words I had to succumb and adjust my margins accordingly.
