Hi,

When i try to print an envelope to my HP 1012 I get instead the message unsupported personality. What does that mean and what do i do about it? Thanks very much.

Hi Bart -

It's nice to know what type of printer you have & I *guess* we can assume
you're using some version of MS Word, but in order to offer anything
meaningful we need to have much more detail about Office & OS X versions &
your type of system. AFAIK, "unsupported personality" isn't a valid error
message. You need to let us know *exactly* what the wording is.

The only suggestion I can offer in the meantime is to check the HP site for
an updated printer driver.

I found your message when I logged in to get help for my own problem. I have a new HP Officejet 5610 AIO printer with the latest printer driver installed (9.7, issued 10/07) and am using an imac with Microsoft Office X and OS X version 10.3.9. I can set up an envelope in Word with no problem and it shows on the screen from the tools>envelopes>custom>print" menu, but when I hit print I get a blank page or a blank envelope. Anyone have any suggestions???

Unless the thread already has your *exact* problem, it is better to
start a new thread than re-activate an old thread.

In Word | Preferences | Print, make sure "drawing objects" is checked.
