Can't print from Open list...?

Howdy,

I run Word 2002 with XP...

If I click on the Open icon, of course I see a list of files
in that folder.

When I right click on one of 'em, the fourth choice
displayed is "Print."

But if I choose that, I get the error "The command you
selected is not available from this shortcut menu."

What might be causing that?

(In the past, I have been able to use CNTL-CLICK to select a
bunch of files and then could right click to print them
all.)

Unfortunately this is a known issue and there isn't a fix or workaround
other than to use the Windows Explorer instead of an Open dialog box.

Might you know which versions of Word allow for the printing
from the dialog?

Off the top of my head, Office XP, Office 2003, and Office 2007. I'm not
sure about office 2000, but I know you could in Office 97.

Note that Beth has listed the ones in which you *cannot* print from the
dialog (I think).
