Y

yaronkretchmer

Got the following "interesting" problem:
*) Win-XP,Word-XP.
*) When embedding pictures into a document, and viewing in "normal
mode, i cannot see the picture
*) When in "print layout" mode, i can see the picture
*) The picture does not print.

Any ideas?

Hi Yaron,

Select Options from the Tools menu and go the the View tab and make sure
that the "Picture placeholders" box is unchecked. Also go to the Print tab
and make sure that the "Drawing objects" is checked.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the

Hope this helps

You can't see the picture in Normal view because it's in the drawing layer;
objects in the drawing layer are not displayed in Normal view
(seehttp://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/DrwGrphcs/InvisibleGraphics.htm). It
doesn't print because you don't have "Drawing objects" checked on the Print
tab of Tools | Options.
