can't print gridlines

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

I have checked "print gridlines" and when I look at the print preview they are not on there. I have printed it out a couple times with no gridlines. How do I print gridlines on my document?

Make sure you're using your printer at its highest resolution settings. If
that doesn't help, check the mfr's site for an updated driver.
