Can't print in Word 2000

I have installed MS Word 2000 on a new laptop running MS
XP. Whenever I select print from the file menu, the
window begins to flash and I never see the print dialog
box for number of copies, print quality, etc...

Can someone help me?

Norton Anti Virus? Yes you must have. Open NAV and disable the Office
Plug-in.
