I'm new to the group. I hope I can get an answer to my question.
I'm using Windows ME, MS Word 97, and my printer is an Epson Stylus Photo
RX500. I am trying to make a 'printing template' for my 5 year old grandson
so he can learn his numbers and letters
I used the ____ key for the top and bottom guide lines and the - - - for the
middle guide line to help him print his letters and numbers in the correct
ratio.
I wanted to type a number on the left side of the (set of 3) guide lines but
I couldn't find any fonts that were just right. (the #1 had the little line
at the top on the left and a line across the bottom and the #9 were always
an upside #6 which does not have a straight line down)
So ..... what I did was, I took a 'print screen ' of the numbers 1-0 and
made individual .jpgs of each number. I then fixed the number 1 and number 9
using Photo Shop and made them the exact size of the distance between the
top & bottom guide lines.
**** Have I lost you yet?
In the 'Word' document, I left a space on the left hand side of the page
where I put the individual .jpgs, one at a time, from top to bottom. Then I
had the lines to the right of the pictures of the numbers.
The problem is, while I can see the lines and 'jpgs in the 'Word' document,
when I try 'print preview, the number .jpgs don't show up. And they don't
print, even when I set my printer to 'text and image'.
Any idea of what I need to do to get both the lines and the numbers to
print?
Thank you
