Can't print transparencies or gradations

I have created a PPT in Microsoft OS X on a Mac G4. When my client views
the presentation on their PC (PP 2003 version) everything renders exactly
like the original on screen but when they try to print out hard copies on
their Fiery printer all of the transparency and gradation effects go to a solid
color. Ideas, solutions anyone?

Transparency, other than 1-bit, on-off transparency, doesn't work on all printers
and specifically not on PostScript printers.

The only workaround I know of, and it's not perfect, is to select the shape you've
applied transparency to, along with everything it's covering, and copy it. Then
paste special as PNG and then delete the original shapes.

Yeah ... ugh. :-(
